The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence (KIOS CoE) operates within the University of Cyprus. The Center was established in 2008 and was subsequently selected by the EU to advance into a Research and Innovation Center of Excellence in 2017, in collaboration with Imperial College London. The KIOS CoE is the largest research and innovation center in Cyprus on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) with an emphasis on monitoring, control, management and security of critical infrastructures. The goal of the Center is to conduct outstanding interdisciplinary research and innovation and produce new knowledge and tools that can be applied to solve real-life problems.

SupportCY Network: It was created in March 2020 by the Bank of Cyprus, in collaboration with the REACTION organization, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to provide assistance to government services, infrastructure, and vulnerable groups.
Over time, the initiative expanded, offering help in cases of natural disasters, social challenges, and other emergencies, promoting the concept of solidarity in action and responsibility within Cypriot society.
Currently, SupportCY includes 150 businesses and 32 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that collaborate with each other and with government services to support those in need in Cyprus and abroad.
At the same time, the SupportCY Volunteer Corps was established, aiming to provide immediate and practical assistance during times of need. The Corps consists of volunteers of various ages and professional backgrounds, who dedicate their time and energy to implementing SupportCY's actions. They are well-equipped and trained to provide support in natural and human-made disasters, such as fires, floods, earthquakes, etc.
The Volunteer Corps works closely with government agencies, NGOs, and other institutions, thus enhancing the readiness and effectiveness of the initiative in difficult situations.
